I am resolving bug #106022 as fixed but I am opening this bug to further track
down why this became a problem and why it doesn't fix the problem on 8.5.
Frank or Naoki: can you point me to a simple editor that implements TSM 1.5
which I could test on 8.6?

I'm the only one I know of using 8.5.1 (in-house) - but that won't be for long
now since I'll have to upgrade :-(

I also use 8.5 and have a machine available if someone needs to test on it. The
latest 0.9.6 branch builds seem to be totally hosed for me. I can't get any
keyboard input in mozilla and while mozilla is open this is a problem for all my
other apps. Not sure if this a seperate bug or not.

I'm on Mac OS 8.5.1 and I also can't get any keyboard input through Mozilla. No
matter what I do, I am always unable to type or use any keyboard shortcut. When
Mozilla is running in the background, other applications are unaffected. I am
using Build ID: 2001112011 on a beige G3/266 with an ADB keyboard and Logitech
USB mouse (only USB device).

Since I don't have 8.5, I am proposing this patch which we can back out if
there are still problems. In effect, this will back out ftang's changes
completely for those running any OS below 9.0.

I can test this on 8.5 first thing in the morning. I'll verify here if it's
working.

not clear this is a high priority; let's change the milestone and see what the
