1158123 - Closing : 2 different ways and actions. File -> Close and alt+F4 [windows] should do the same thing/have the same shutdown cleanup actions

I see 2 ways to close Thunderbird :
- With "File" -> "Close" and Thunderbird will be close after clean the trash (near 4 seconds) ;
- With ALT+F4/close cross, closes Thunderbird's window instantly but it works in process until the trash will cleaned.

Is it possible to keep the first way used by "File" -> "Close" for ALT+F4/close cross ?

You mean have alt+f4/close X do the empty trash step?
I don't think so.

No. If this option "Clean trashes" is checked (for an email account or several), we have these 2 ways to close Thunderbird and notice :

By the way, I think all platforms are concerned. It's not a "bug", but just a request to unify these actions like :

So I would like when we close Thunderbird by close X, let Thunderbird opened until trashes will be cleaned, like "File" -> "Close".
