1193885 - Message Preview pane (in Classic View) goes blank when deleting a subfolder from Inbox

Steps to reproduce:

Select View->Layout->Classic View
Select a folder you're going to delete and select a mesage in it so the Preiew pane shows the contents (in my case it's always a grandchild: Inbox/Folder/Subfolder
Delete that subfolder from the Inbox



Actual results:

When going back to the Inbox or another folder or subfolder, the Preview Pane is blank.

The way to get the Preview Pane to work again is by selecting View-Layout-Wide (or Vertical) and then switching back to Classic again.


Expected results:

Preview Pane contents should not have been affected by deletion of a subfolder that was displayed in Preview Pane when being deleted.
This problem does NOT occur when the subfolder being deleted was NOT selected (i.e., another message in the Inbox was being displayed)

This problem has exited for several version. I migrated from Windows 7 to Max OS X in April 2015 and it manifested itself on the PC as well, earliest I can remember about 2 years ago.

I get this error too. The following lines appears in the Eror Console after deleting the folder:

After that, the message pane stays empty and no new messages are logged when switching messages.

Cause of problem was found at last, and bug 1328814 was opened.
