The rules from UX / UR are:
- Show the flyout once a day maximum for a week
- If the end-user doesn't see any videos for 30 days, show it again for another week

Hi emanuela,
I need some clarification here. When we say "once a day maximum for a week", does that week include days that the user is not using the browser?
So, for example, if a user opens Firefox and sees their first flyout toggle, shuts down, and then waits 8 days, will they see the toggle the next time it starts?
Or is it "Show the flyout once a day for a maximum of 7 days"?
Same question for (2) - is it 30 days regardless of usage? Or 30 days where Firefox was opened at least once?

Flyout 'onboarding'.
We want the user to see the flyout for maximum of 7 times in a short period of time. These 7 times can be continuous or not.
Examples:
-
On day 1, UserA interacts a video. Firefox plays the flyout. UserA uses Firefox and interacts with videos for 7 days in a row. Every time UserA sees a video for the first time on a new day, we display the flyout. On Day 8, UserA doesn't see the flyout anymore.
-
On day 1, UserB sees a video. Firefox plays the flyout. For the next 2 days, UserB doesn't use Firefox. On day 4, UserB uses Firefox again but the user doesn't watch any video element. Only on day 5, UserB interacts with a video again, and Firefox plays the flyout (second time). For the next 5 days, UserB uses Firefox and interact with videos. Every new day Firefox plays the flyout once. On day10.
For the reminder, it gets trigger only if a user doesn't interact (regardless of usage) with a videos element for 30 days or more
I try to visualize it, in case reading this gives you a headache!

Having spoken with Product, we've decided to simplify this for our first iteration and only show the flyout toggle when hovering the toggle itself. This work was done in bug 1544969. We can revisit / re-open this if we decide to go back to the more sophisticated presentation of the toggle.
