Video works fine in Chrome, won't play in Firefox Nightly (Mac). Works in Release in a different profile on mac. Will check in other profiles on linux and Windows

Gives "An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: -hjyFGcvg96bKtZ7)"

Happening in Release (on the same profile that worked before). Paused the video, tried to restart and hit the error. ID this time L6SwHI_kZFIFYgI3. (note that I and l look the same in the font they use, it the 3 I's may be l's or a mix)

Hi, could you please post the contents of your about:support? Can you give this a try in safe mode and see if it works then? Does this happen when you're not in Safe Mode but have hardware video acceleration enabled? Do you see any weird errors / clues in the JS console?

Could you also please capture and post a profile reproducing this bug?

  1. Start Firefox with no other tabs open.
  2. Install Firefox profiler: https://profiler.firefox.com/
  3. Open Firefox, and go to the about:logging page
  4. Click Logging preset and choose Media Playback (important)
  5. Click Start Logging
  6. Open a new tab and repeat the steps that cause the issue. Once you reproduce the issue, close the tab, then go back to about:logging page and click Stop Logging
  7. The Firefox Profiler should launch itself automatically.
  8. Click Upload Local Profile, then download the profile and upload it to Bugzilla, or paste the share link in the comment directly.

The tutorial to get the logs is here: https://www.loom.com/share/24ea3a8e3a054c478de94643a0ea8620?sid=87b0ffaa-c4ea-43ce-8107-639f24b747a8 or https://paul.cx/public/about-logging-presentation.webm .

Thanks!
