The first image on https://people.mozilla.com/~shorlander/files/australis-designSpecs/australis-designSpecs-windows7-mainWindow.html gives the edges at the top and bottom some rounding. That would be nice in Thunderbird.

With Win8 and Win10 rounded edges are no more actual. With the limited developer resources I think it's okay to WONTFIX this Bug.
