This is related/an extension of bug 638949 (adding Copy Location to URLs) -- very often I want to actually load the URL, because I want to see the data that it got (for example, the JSON result, or a JS file). The URLs are underlined and they look clickable, but clicking on both the URL and the HTTP result code just shows the request info.
I'd suggest that clicking on the URL actually open the URL in a new tab; or at least shift-clicking do so. Clicking on the result info (or the "GET"/method) could continue to open the request info pane.

Vlad, Now the console has a context menu with a "open in new tab" item.
Sounds like it allows to do what you were asking for, or would you also expect another UX?

I think the console UI improved and addressed this.
