RyanVM has an HTC Rezound that we're very slow to startup on. I grabbed a logcat from him, but there's at least a 10 second gap of nothing. Does QA have one of these and can they reproduce.

Only extensions are AdBlock plus and QuitNow.

Getting a profile of the phone on startup should be helpful. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Performance/Profiling_with_the_Built-in_Profiler

We saw some file i/o during startup coming from adblock. Disabling it seems to have helped. I filed a bug with them:

BenWa tells me I'm still not getting the full startup profile. Am going to try and read it correctly to see if there's anything else slow happening before closing this (also, maybe we can do something to help adblock doing, what I assume is important, i/o).

I can reproduce on a Galaxy S2. With AdBlock Plus Firefox takes nearly 8 seconds to start, without AdBlock it takes nearly 2 seconds. It's obviously a non-scientific test, but the difference is really high.
