I'm probably sure this request has already been sent but seriously, It's got to be done. I would like to compose my messages in a new tab instead of a new Window. This will make thunderbird and the use of tabs much more significant. For now, I don't even use the tabs since it's useless for me. I see my message in the preview below and I answer from there but I really hate the fact that thunderbird opens a new Window for composing emails. I think Thunderbird should advance with this new frontier and breakout in the e-mail client world.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Compose E-mail.
Expected Results:
Open compose windows in a tab.

This is incorrect. Bug 518253 refers to Penelope, not Thunderbird. Please remove duplication mark.
